Without an allowance the only way to read manga for free was to go to the book store and read it standing…And by the way, this is definitely the best way to read manga for free!

I didn’t want to be the center of attention in the book store, so id read a small section of the manga then jump to another book like a flea, so I got to finish reading several mangas in one day!

I thought it was the best solution for a kid without an allowance to consume manga., but once in a while I had a problem doing this, since some manga would be wrapped in cellophane with a freebie, or the covers bound tight with string… sometimes I tried to loosen to the strings up, but after I read it the manga became tattered through pulling at the strings and in turn the manga itself was ruined.

I feel bad about this now , but at the time I was so in love with manga I didn’t think this.
