After I went to junior high school I was drawing my manga on real professional paper, and using Chinese ink and g pens because I wanted to be different from other amateur boys who wanted to draw manga…And I called manga as Gekiga which was cool to me… it was a new stream from old fashioned manga so it was called Gekiga… Gekiga contains realistic style of drawing. And I had a friend who also liked Gekiga and we got together and drew manga at each others houses.
And I wanted to depict human beings with such realism, but I couldn’t… so I began sketching desperately trying to depict this…
I found that multiple sketching would improve my realistic drawing skills. I read an article, where this one big cheese was quoted saying- `if you wanna be a pro manga artist, you should get into everything, not just manga, but reading novels, and sketching a lot.
` So I said myself- `OK, I`ll do a lot more sketching then!`
