My big brother went to design school and became a member of the manga club there… I didn’t have the guts to send my work to the manga magazine, but I wanted to become a member of that manga club in design school and I was accepted.The books they published were seasonal, compiled with their original manga works…It was really good training for me then, for what would later materialize into my future… around the time when I became assistant for a pro manga artist… because I had to stay all night long for a couple of days… to complete my work.

The form of the work is supposed to be, when completed, a professional one, and not amateur… although they were a total band of amateurs, I looked up to them as genius and their works amazing to behold to one so young.


They were in design school, I wasn’t… and their style of drawing and composure so much more mature and different from the standard I was used to seeing! My mind set was kinda pro then, but my techniques were still kindergarten like, really sloppy!!
